Safety and security
You waive the right to in-vehicle recordings. All DCC cabs are fitted with forward facing dashcams. The footage from these cameras are recorded to a small computer in the trunk of every cab. Our drivers may also be fitted out with Axon body-cameras to help protect them on shift as well.
The wearing of masks in any DCC fleet vehicles is not permitted at any time. If you are requesting a taxi or approach a taxi that is waiting for a ride, be prepared to remove the mask if you are wearing one. Refusal to remove a mask will result in denied travel. If while in the process of traveling and you put on a mask, you will be asked to remove it. Repeated times of asking will result in the termination of your ride without refund and regardless of where you stop.
DCC Drivers are permitted to carry firearms (so long as they are licensed) and are authorized to defend Law Enforcement Officers, themselves, friends and family, other employees, their passengers, and members of the public.
The carriage of firearms in DCC vehicles by passengers is permitted, however, as the law states, you must be properly licensed for the firearm. Any individuals, confirmed or suspected of carrying an unlicensed firearm, may be reported to authorities.
The carriage of large and/or illegal firearms (shotguns, rifles, SMG’s, etc) is strictly prohibited (with exception to Law Enforcement Officers during emergency situations).
The name of a passenger is relayed to the DCC Dispatch system. They will also be required to check the licenses of any other passengers traveling with you as well, to ensure they are not Blacklisted.
For safety, no passenger is permitted to travel in the trunk of a DCC taxi, unless in a life-threatening emergency.
Any illegal activities during your ride will result in immediate ride termination, reported to the authorities, and may result in a temporary or permanent Blacklisting, depending on severity.
